چکیده

We describe the model and implementation of two approaches for method execution in distributed object query processing. The first approach is the traditional data migration approach in which remote data accesses (if required) are made to compose an in-memory object at the query site which is followed by method invocation on this object. The second approach of method migration allows the method execution to be migrated to a remote site where object data is locally available, or it can accessed with little cost.

Fisher Discriminant Analysis (FDA), a supervised feature reduction method in seismic object detection

Automatic processes on seismic data using pattern recognition is one of the interesting fields in geophysical data interpretation. One part is the seismic object detection using different supervised classification methods that finally has an output as a probability cube. Object detection process starts with generating a pickset of two classes labeled as object and non-object and then selecting ...

Supporting Object Migration in Distributed Systems

To fully support distributed processing in any distributed system, it must be possible to perform remote executions. For maximum benefit, this should also be coupled with the movement of data and programs from sites other than those where the execution is to be performed. Such distributed processing requirements are considered in the context of a Virtual Enterprise which uses an Object-oriented...

The Object Replication Method for the Efficient Migration of Agent

The migration method of a mobile agent affects the entire performance of the distributed system. Most of the existing migration methods have the slow-witted structures due to the fixed order migration that cause the subsequent accumulation of the task results. They can induce various problems such as the failure of host, network obstacles, service absence, and increased traffic resulting in the...

A Binding Protocol for Distributed Shared Objects

A number of actions, collectively known as binding, prepare a reference for invocation of its target: locating the target, setting up a connection, checking access rights and concurrency control state, type-checking, instantiating a proxy, etc. Existing languages or operating systems support only a single binding policy, that cannot be tailored to object-specific semantics for the management of...

Isatis: A Customizable Distributed Object-Based Runtime System

This paper discusses the design and implementation of a customizable distributed object-based runtime system. Our main goal in the system's design was to provide a distributed object-based system supporting execution of various (concurrent) object-oriented languages, and that can be easily enriched with mechanisms for object management so as to t the applications' needs. Enrichment of the runti...
